Hi Everyone,

There have been some changes made to the way that some of you may file taxes this year. If you receive a letter saying that you are eligible, you may file your taxes over the telephone! You will need to be able to answer identifying questions, and some tax-related questions. If you don’t receive this letter, or you do receive the letter, but don’t want to file your taxes over the phone, CASS continues to offer free tax preparation and filing services for clients through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). We will have tax information packages to send out by mid-February, that you can fill out and return, or you can set up a face to face appointment. Please feel free to contact me for more information about this program, or to get a tax information package for yourself, your family member, or someone you support.

There is a new ‘Entertainment’ Coupon book in the resource area in the office. Coupons are first-come-first-served, but please only take what you will use.

Did you know that HippoHug makes weighted blankets and is a local business? If you have ever been interested in trying out a weighted blanket, check them out at They have different thicknesses and sizes, so be sure to ask questions to make sure you are getting one that works well for you. There is more info at the CASS resource area.
