CASS has set up a tour to the new and improved Calgary Firefighter’s Museum On February 9. Join us from 10:30 am-noon at 4144 11 St SE to learn more about Calgary’s Firefighting history in the interactive museum.  Please note that you will need to RSVP as soon as possible for this event, as there is a maximum number of people that can attend. We will not be able to accept RSVP’s after February 6. If you miss out on this event, or want to go without the big group, check out http://www.calgaryfiremuseum.com/ for all the info you need.

If you haven’t seen it yet, The Alberta Government is looking to review the PDD program. The last time it was reviewed, the review was done by an accounting firm. This time, we are anticipating that the review will be opened up for input by people who receive PDD-funded supports, as well. Keep connected to this process to have your say! See http://edmontonjournal.com/news/politics/government-commits-to-full-review-of-853m-disability-program for a media report on the announcement.

The Alberta Government is looking for input into the 2018 Budget. Consultations will open on February 9th. You can take part in the consultations via an online survey, written submissions, and two telephone town halls. Go to https://www.alberta.ca/budget-consultations.aspx to get more information and take part. The online survey will be closed on February 9, 2018.
