Did you know that this email is put together every week by the CASS Resource Facilitator based on activities and affordability ranges that people have asked for? If you have an area of interest that you don’t often see in these events listings, please let me know!I am also available to gather resources for you in any area-- education, recreation, hobbies, navigating bureaucracy, advocacy etc.

Sep 11: Lives Well Lived Film Screening @ John Dutton Theatre, Calgary Public Library (616 MacLeod Trail) 6-8pm. This film is an award-winning celebration of aging.

Sep 15: East Side Studio Crawl @ Various locations in Inglewood & Ramsay. 11am-5pm. Check out artist studios throughout the neighbourhoods. has all of the info.

Sep 15: MEOW Foundation Open House @ MEOW Foundation (35 Skyline Cres NE) 1-3pm. Cats, light refreshments, crafts, guest speakers, etc.

Sep 15: Inglewood Night Market @ Various Locations in Inglewood. 5-11pm. Vendors, food trucks and street performances all night long. See for info and a map of the market locations

Sep 15: Garage Sale @ Hillhurst United Church (1227 Kensington Cl NW) 7am-2pm.

Sep 15: Parade of Garage Sales @ Riverbend. Maps of the participating homes will be available at the Riverbend Community Association (19 RIvervalley Dr SE)

Sep 15: Park & Polish Car Show @ Cardel (180 Quarry Park Blvd SE) 10am-2pm. Vendors, prizes, BBQ lunch by donation.

Sep 15: Kent Hehr’s Annual BBQ @ Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association (2201 Cliff St SW) 11am-1pm. Get to know your neighbours and enjoy a free end of summer BBQ.

Sep 15: Women’s Game Night @ Sentry Box (1835 10 Ave SW) 5-8pm. Casual Drop-In event. Bring your own games or check one out of their demo library.

Sep 15-16: Calgary Artwalk @ various galleries throughout the city. See for participating galleries, maps, etc.



Sep 13: Adults Only Night: Hack It @ Telus SPARK Science Centre. 6-10pm. regular admission rates apply, or you can sign out one of CASS’ Community connections passes to attend for free. Parking is $10.

Sep 14: ET: The Extraterrestrial Family Movie Night @ Calaway Park (245033 RR33) Event starts at 5pm. Tickets are $6 per person, and includes hot dog, chips, ice cream and pop, as well as popcorn for the movie. Tickets must be purchased in advance at and printed to show at the gates.
