Hi Everyone,

CASS has free tickets to the Calgary Fall Home Show at BMO Centre, September 20-23. If you are interested in going to this event, the tickets will be at the reception desk at the main office.

There will be demo versions of Southland Leisure Centre’s Fitness classes running September 10-27. Drop-in fees apply, schedule in attached to this events listing.



Sep 3: Free Pancake Breakfast @ Kane’s Harley Diner (1209 9 Ave SE) 7-10am.

Sep 3: Labour Day Parade @ Cochrane, begins at 10am. Please see for more info and the route map.

Sep 5: Roasterie Tour @ Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters (618 Confluence Way SE) 12:15-12:35pm. Learn more about roasting and operations.

Sep 7: Calgary International Film Festival Trailer Party @ Globe Cinema (617 8 Ave SW) 6:30pm. Watch the trailers for the films being showcased this year on the big screen, for free. There will be other activities and door prizes available.

Sep 7: Movie in the Park @ Scarboro Community Association (1727 14 Ave SW) 7-10pm. Bring a blanket and enjoy a free screening of a secret movie.

Sep 8: Honens Festival: Open Air @ Central Memorial Park (1221 2 St SW) 1-3pm. This free event marks the wrap up of the Honens International Piano Competition.

Sep 8: Free Class Day @ Free Spirit Dance (112 16 Ave NW) Doors open at 8:30am for registration. Last class starts at 4:30pm. Registrations fill up fast, so come early! Get all of the info at

Sep 8: Brazil Fest @ Eau Claire Market (200 Barclay Parade- Indoors) 5-10pm. Live performances including music, dance shows & Capoeira.

Sep 8: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Outdoor Movie Night @ Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre (253220 Bearspaw Road) Seating begins at 7pm, concessions sold via food truck.

Sep 9: FASD Day pancake breakfast @ North Glenmore Park Community Association (2231 Longridge Drive SW) 8:30am-Noon. For more info see their Facebook page:

Sep 9: Free Pancake Breakfast @ Rotary Challenger Park (3688 48 Ave NE) 10 am-Noon. Free breakfast for the first 200 people, there will be a ‘capture the flag’ game, stretching/meditation and drop-in soccer.

Sep 9: Ski Swap @ Montgomery Community Association (5003 16 Ave NW) 8 -11am. Buy used ski gear for the upcoming season at this garage sale & ski swap.



Sep 5-9: Masters Tournament @ Spruce Meadows. Tickets are $5 for rush seating. You can find more info at

Sep 8: Circle Festival @ Shaw Millennium Park, 11am-11pm. Live music, giant ball pit, circus performances and teaching, food truck and artisan market. Admission is $35. You can also look for volunteer opportunities here:

Sep 8 & 9: Fall Harvest Sale @ Heritage Park, 10am-4:30pm. Regular admission rates apply, very low prices on produce, supporting local charities. has all of the info.

Sep 9: Jam Skate practice session @ Vecova (3304 33 St NW) 11am-1pm. Admission is $10, or $15 if you need to rent skates.
